Paper Rex’s Jinggg put on a great show at VCT Masters Toronto, even though he was still hurt from a wrist injury. This reminded fans why he is one of the best
Across the tournament, Jinggg racked up 69 kills, held a steady 207 Average Combat Score (ACS), and maintained a 23% headshot accuracy—all while playing through pain.
On June 25, Jinggg confirmed this on Discord: “I’m finally in Singapore and have maybe 5-7 days break before practicing again and flying off to Riyadh for EWC. My sleep time is so bad now so I’m not sure what time I will sleep and wake up… I just slept the whole flight and have to wake up in the morning tomorrow to check my wrist because it has been injured since I landed in Toronto but we still somehow won. I will probably stream tomorrow in the afternoon or evening depending on how long I take to check my wrist and if I need to do any scans or anything and if I’m tired or not. See u guys tomorrow on stream”
But the grind isn’t over just yet.
The Esports World Cup starts on July 8 in Riyadh, so Jinggg doesn’t have much time to rest and get better. VALORANT is one of the first titles to kick off the global event, putting the spotlight right back on him and his team in just a matter of days.
Jinggg’s situation shows how hard competitive gaming can be on the body, even in a digital battlefield. As the competition heats up in Riyadh, both fans and teammates will be hoping his wrist holds up and doesn’t slow down his progress.
Everyone will be watching Jinggg as he continues to beat the odds on the world stage, whether they are rooting for Paper Rex or just a fan of high-level VALORANT play.
